Sv: Gulanlag hos Ravell?
Hallo, my name is Marion.
I'm located in Germany and I'm sorry, that I don't speak your language.
So I hope, it is okay, if I write in English.
I try to understand all your posts (have translated them with the Google translator, but sometimes:
).
This is an old thread of Ravell 959, I know - but I'm interested in breeding a dilute foal and so, he could be the right stallion.
I already talked to the owner Lasse Nilsson (Team Piaffe) and frozen semen will be available this year also for Germany. So from this side, there isn't a problem. Only the price of the semen (fee) has to be cleared.
I'm sure, Ravell is a very dark buckskin (mörkgulbrun) and so I have a 50 per cent chance, to get also a dilute foal.
This would be the cream on the top, because my first objective is, to breed a high standard sport horse.
Ravell is a little bit old-fashioned in his type (compared to the young stallions, we have seen in the past few years), but he has a lot of blood, what I really like.
Ravell, I never seen in original, only some photos and a video.
He has three really good gaits (in blup.se all results of his approval are shown) and I like his bloodlines. Especially also his thoroughbred mother Dancing Lady xx has really good progeny. In 2012, the two fill siblings Faustino and Barcelona (their mother is a full sister of Ravell) started on the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. And also a son of Bocelli (he has the same mother, than Faustino and Barcelona) started there. And Bocelli himself was part of the Swedish Olympic team in London (Dressage horses).
There are only two points, I'm not sure about:
1. My mare isn't that tall (only 163 cm) and I read, that some of Ravells progeny are also small. Ravell himself is 166 cm, what would be enough for me.
2. I heard, that his legs are not correct and also very tight. In blup.se the result of hid "Exremiteter" is only 74 - and also most of his progeny haven't a good result in this point.
It would be great, if somebody could tell me anything regarding this two points and I'm glad about all information about this stallion.
I also have seen, that a young buckskin stallion Ivory (First Wish x Bernstein) is licensed now. Has anybody an idea, when he will be approved? Or is he already approved? - I haven't found any furthermore information about him.
Maybe somebody knows another alternative stallion?
It should be a single or double dilute stallion without Kinsky or Hungarian blood, without saddlebred or something similar.
The best would be a halfbred or a thoroughbred or a son/grandson of Bernstein. As I know, Ravell is his only approved son with the creme factor. But there could be maybe a stallion out of his daughters (like Ivory)?
Thank you very much and have a great day,
Marion
