Här är örterna de har tillsatt:
Majram - Origanum majorana
An important herb is Marjoram. It determines the aroma, has effect on the bronchi, regulates the gasto-intestinal tract, has an antibacterial effect against undesired bacteria in the intestines, soothes spasms and relaxes the digestive tract.
Salvia - Salvia offininalis
Sage stimulates the kidneys. The essential oils in Sage have an antiseptic effect, inhibitng the development of intestinal parasites. Sage contains tannins which affect the liver, spleen and pancreas, helping to lower blood-sugar levels. The name ’Salvia’ comes from the Latin root ’salvare’, meaning ’to heal’.
Rosmarin - Rosmarinus officinalis
Rosemary is an aromatic herb that promotes efficient blood-flow and stabilizes circulation. The Rosmarinic acid which it contains has a strong anti-oxidant effect. The tannins from this family (Lamiaceae) have a strong nourishing effect on the liver and a positive effect on blood circulation. This promotes efficient cell metabolism and helps to detoxify the body.
Röd rudbeckia - Echinacea
These native North American plants have been popular since the 30’s due to their medicinal properties. It is now almost impossible to imagine the household medicine cabinet without a bottle of Echinacea. Echinacea has an anti-inflammatory effect, strengthens the immune system and reduces chance of infections. It helps the body to de-acidify and is of great help in preventing allergic reactions.
Brännässla - Urtica dioica
The Nettle is universally known. But is a surprise to many that this ’weed’ is blessed with so many positive properties. Despite the fact that the Nettle has such an irritant effect on the skin externally, if ingested it can have a strongly positive action on the skin, reducing succeptibility to allergic reactions.
With its high mineral content (especially iron), it bolsters blood-cell production, stimulates the kidneys and functions as a diuretic. With these detoxifying and blood-purifying properties, the Nettle is an important agent for helping to reduce high blood-sugar levels.
Maskros - Taraxacum officinale
The Dandelion also stimulates the purifying effect of the kidneys, and many of its local names refer to this effect. With its bitter taste, it is a herb that stimulates the production of digestive juices in the stomach and intestines, supports good liver function, whilst simultaneously aiding the kidneys in their process of waste-product excretion. The Dandelions that we use in Care4Life come from unfertilized soil, further helping to support good function in the liver, kidneys and pancreas.
Ringblomma - Calendula officinalis
The Marigold, often better recognized by its botanical name ’Calendula’, is a very popular ingredient in ointments and cosmetics. Not only does Calendula have nourishing and healing effects on the external skin but also on the ’internal skin’ – the walls and membranes of the stomach and intestines.
Persilja - Petroselinum hortense
Parsley is one of the best-known herbs of all. As a medicinal plant, Parsley stimulates the kidneys and aids the removal of toxins (toxic bodily-waste products). Because of these proerties, it is used to combat rheumatism and kidney-stones. Parsley also acts in the intestines, reducing cramp and flatulence. We use Parsley stalks in our blend – as these are smooth and don’t produce any unwanted side-effects.
Gråbo - Artemisia vulgaris
A bitter herb that stabilizes the intestinal flora and stimulates salivation – good for the acid/alkali (pH) balance. These herbs also stimulate the liver and gall-bladder, have a anti-spasmodic effect and inhibit inestinal parasite development.
Venkel - Foeniculum vulgare
Fennel seeds are rich in essential oils and have a calming effect on the mucous membranes of the stomach, intestines and respiritory tract. Fennel helps to reduce digestive and fermentaion problems in the intestines (colic).
Koriander - Coriandrum sativum
Coriander promotes cell-metabolism and stimulates the excretory organs.
Coriander is nowadays used in natural medicine to strengthen stomach and intestinal function. Coriander stimulates saliva production and helps combat flatulence.
