The crisis seems to be over as sensationally high prices were paid for Oldenburg bred young sport horses at the 2009 Elite Fall Auction in Vechta, Germany, on October 3, 2009. The stunning price highlight was the bay gelding Don Primeur, which sold for 505,000 euro to Danish Olympic team rider Andreas Helgstrand.
Bred and presented at auction by Arnold Wegbund, Don Primeur was the winner of the Oldenburg Regional Championships and was qualified for the Bundeschampionate, but didn't compete there. Don Primeur is by Don Primero x Castro x Weltmeister and will move to Helgstrand's Møgelmosegård in the north of Denmark.
